Some fun ideas to teach your kids this weekend about Independence Day!

-Do your kids understand the etiquette of the Flag? I’m excited to teach this to my kids. We will also be learning how to fold the flag. https://wethekids.us/teach-your-kids-flag-etiquette/
-Review the names of American presidents or founding fathers. These should be familiar names to kids even if they can’t always keep all the names and positions straight. https://www.whitehouse.gov/about-the-white-house/presidents/

-Include your family in preparing red, white and blue celebration festivities (food, decor, etc.) Some of our favorites are Waffles with Berries and Whipped Cream, A Flag Cake,(https://www.wellplated.com/flag-cake/) and BBQ food for dinner.
-Ask your families what questions they have about our country. Write down the questions and go look up answers if you don’t know the answer off the top of your head!
-Look at pictures online from the revolutionary war and of the founding documents of our country.
